The Dream
Michael D. is a hobby farmer with a property in Creightons Creek, south of Shepparton. Michael reached out to Buffalo Built as his farm did not have much in the way of shedding, meaning storage for machinery, fodder and farm equipment was becoming a problem.
Michael knew that one large structure would be impractical for the differing needs of his farm, so he contacted us to design, build and project manage the construction of three separate sheds: a hay shed, machinery shed, and a secure workshop with a large awning to maximise the space.
The Sheds
After a thorough discovery process and site visit, the team at Buffalo Built set about designing several fit-for-purpose sheds to meet Michael’s needs.
Our in-house building designers took Michael’s goals and suggestions on board and designed the following structures:
- A farm shed measuring 18m x 10m x 3.8m with a large front awning and 3 bays with lockup roller doors
- An open-fronted hay shed measuring 24m x 12m x 5m
- A machinery shed with one and a half open sides, measuring 24m x 10m x 5.4m
Each steel-framed shed was clad in rugged Colorbond and plumbed to adjoining water tanks, providing an additional water collection source for the property.
Our team provided full project management including managing trades and coordinating deliveries, enabling Michael to get on with the business of running his farm whilst construction was taking place. Despite some delays in securing building permits, the overall build went smoothly and Michael is thrilled with the result.
The Result
This project was completed in early 2022, and Michael says that the Buffalo Built team made the whole process easy.
